What’s with the name?

It started as a joke. I told my wife I was tired of competing against all the younger “flat bellies,” and she shot back, “So where do the fat bellies play?” And just like that, the Fat Belly Tour was born. We kept the name because in a world full of noise, we’d rather stand out than blend in. Plus, we’re not 20 anymore, and we’re good with that.

The Fat Belly Tour is a grassroots senior golf tour built for the players who never gave up. Whether you're chasing the dream for the first time or making your return to golf after years away, this is your stage. Designed for professionals aged 50+, our golf tournaments offer competitive purses and a chance to prove that your best game might still be ahead of you.
Founded by pro golfer and performance coach Michael Bruchet, the tour combines elite competitive golf with a community-first mission.
Our Dads with Lads Pro-Am — Focus on teaching fundamentals, driving range, short game, overall skill set, leadership while offering a family-friendly, philanthropic event that invites fathers and junior single parents, foster kids and local organizations to participate. The golfers will team up with the pros for a 9 hole golf pro am experience.
Our Mission is to reach 1000 youth in 2026.

The Dads with Lads Pro-Am is more than just a golf tournament, it’s a movement to strengthen the bond between fathers and their kids through the game of golf. Hosted alongside Fat Belly Tour tournaments, this unique Pro-Am invites parental figures to team up with junior golfers for a family-friendly, purpose-driven round. It’s a high-energy, heart-centered day that creates lifelong memories, introduces kids to positive role models, and reinforces the power of connection, something we believe is vital in today’s world.
This grassroots initiative is also the launchpad for the Dads with Lads National Golf League — a seasonal, team-based father-junior league piloting in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Designed for families who want to participate in a fun-yet-competitive format, the league builds confidence, character, and community. Each season culminates in a special invitation for top teams to compete alongside the Pros at the Fat Belly Tour Championship. Whether you’re swinging for fun or for a future in the game, Dads with Lads is the pipeline for the next generation — on the course and at home.

As Dads With Lads grows, our deeper aim is to strengthen fathers and form boys into grounded young men. Build A Game For Life is our modern knighthood track— meaningful adventures that forge character, leadership, and a practical code of honor for real life.

Through outdoor adventure retreats—blending golf, fly fishing, backpacking, skiing, mountaineering and woodworking—boys step into manhood with purpose, gaining practical skills, steady confidence, and the inner strength to lead.
