PLAYER POLICIES.

  • Play will be governed by the current Rules of Golf.

  • All participants must register for events 2 weeks prior to the event start date. Each participant must check in at the Player Registration area prior to play of the tournament.

  • Due to inconsistent bunkers across the nation and lack of proper raking by members and the general public, we will have the amended rule of Rake in Place. Meaning you can lift, rake and place.

  • A hole-by-hole sudden death playoff will be conducted on hole #18 and continuing on #18 until the winner is determined.

  • Only 14 clubs can be included in player’s bag. The one ball rule is always in effect. Only brands of golf balls listed on the USGA’s current list of conforming club and golf ball list may be used.

  • Unbecoming conduct by a player or a caddie, reported to the rules official during or after a competitor’s round may be cause for disqualification. Objectionable conduct includes club throwing, foul language, abuse of the golf course or course property, abuse of officials, alcohol/drug impaired behavior, or any conduct unbecoming of a gentleman.

  • Players may use a range finder device in order to measure distance only. The penalty for the first breach of this rule is TWO STROKES and any subsequent breach will result in DISQUALIFICATION.

  • Throughout the tournament, the player must play without undue delay. Individual penalties may be issued for violation of pace of play.

  • All registered players are required to present a neat appearance appropriate to a professional golf tournament. Shorts are permitted as long as they are professional in appearance. Players must wear collared or mock-neck golf shirts. Denim clothing, t-shirts, cargo shorts and tank tops are prohibited.

Appropriate golf footwear is required for both players and caddies. Shoes with spikes of ay design that are entirely made of metal are prohibited. Golf sandals are not appropriate tournament footwear.

  • Use of cell phones during the round is strongly discouraged. Abuse of this could disqualify a player from playing in future events. During a tournament round a player may not listen to music or watch content on any device. Professionals wishing to film or record any part of the round must receive permission from the Fat Belly Tour organizer.
