Our Mission.

The Fat Belly Tour was founded to create a meaningful platform for professional golfers aged 47 and up — a space where seasoned players can continue competing, sharpening their skills, and building camaraderie with fellow pros.

But we’re more than a tour. We’re a movement rooted in purpose.

Through our signature Dads With Lads ProAm events, we invite families — especially fathers and their children — to join us for unforgettable days of golf, mentorship, and community. Every event directly supports local charities, including First Tee Programs and our very own nonprofit, Build A Game For Life, which funds outdoor adventure camps that reconnect kids and dads through fly fishing, camping, and shared experience.

Our mission is to grow the game of golf, invest in youth and family-driven programs, and provide sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and national partners who share our values of mentorship, sportsmanship, and strong families.

Fat Belly Tour is where legacy meets impact — and every swing moves something forward.

Michael Bruchet — The Visionary Behind the Tour

Michael Bruchet brings nearly 30 years of experience as a professional athlete, tour player, and elite-level coach to the Fat Belly Tour. A former touring pro with a world ranking of 519, Michael competed across Asia and beyond — but over time, discovered what many seasoned professionals do: there are few places for aging athletes to keep playing at a high level.

In response, Michael founded the Fat Belly Tour — a tour for players 47 and older — to keep the competitive spirit alive, build a community of like-minded athletes, and use the game as a platform for greater impact.

But Michael’s passion extends far beyond the course. With a heart for youth and mentorship, he has spent years using golf to support fatherless children, running fundraising tournaments through his Golf Academy in Asia to benefit local orphanages. That same mission carries into the Fat Belly Tour’s Dads With Lads ProAm events, where fathers and kids share a day of golf with the pros — all to raise money for charities like First Tee and Build A Game For Life, Michael’s nonprofit initiative that reconnects families through outdoor adventure, faith, and mentorship.

A devoted husband and father, Michael is also a master craftsman, fly fisherman, and skier who believes life is about balance — and that we all have gifts worth sharing. His life's work reflects one simple truth: when we use what we love to lift others, we build a legacy that lasts far beyond the final round.
